Sacral Center

One of the nine energy centers in the Human Design bodygraph, responsible for life-force energy and a body-level yes/no response.

The Sacral Center is the source of raw life-force energy in the Human Design bodygraph, located around the lower abdomen; it's responsible for the capacity for sustained, steady work. People with a defined Sacral Center — Generators and Manifesting Generators, an estimated 70% of the population — get an instant bodily response to a direct question: a feeling of expansion and "uh-huh" on a yes, contraction and "uh-uh" on a no. That response works best on closed yes/no questions and poorly on open-ended thinking out loud, so a useful practice for sacral people is asking others to phrase questions so the body can answer right away. People with an undefined Sacral Center have inconsistent energy: bursts of drive alternate with exhaustion, and it's easy to take on more commitments than your own resources allow, because other people's sacral energy can feel like your own. The line between "I want to do this" and "I have to get this done" is the key thing to watch for here.
