Here's what's actually happening under the hood: we calculate the Moon's real position and illumination for each birth date at midday UTC, using the same astronomical engine behind our full Moon calendar — not a random number generator dressed up as astrology. Two matching phases score high as "Mirror Souls"; two phases that add up to a full 360° circle score high as "Completing Souls." Either result is genuinely lucky, so we score from 55% up, with a small bonus when your Moon signs also share an element.

We find the Moon's exact phase angle and illumination for each birth date at noon UTC using a real astronomical engine, then compare the two phases two ways: how closely they match (Mirror Souls) and how closely they add up to a full circle (Completing Souls). We take whichever score is higher, scale it into a 55-100% range, and add a small bonus if your Moon signs share an element.
