Natal Chart

A natal (birth) chart is built from an exact birth date, time, and place: software calculates exactly where the Sun, Moon, and planets sat on the zodiac wheel at that moment, and how that wheel is split into twelve houses relative to the horizon. The result is a circular diagram capturing a unique sky configuration that will never repeat exactly again. In classical astrology, a chart is read not from a single detail but as a whole: each planet's sign and house, the aspects between them, the overall balance of elements and modalities — all of it comes together into a layered portrait of tendencies, strengths, and zones of tension. The natal chart is the foundation every other astrological technique builds on: transits, solar returns, and synastry are always laid over it. For self-knowledge, the chart's main value is in giving structured language to what a person already senses intuitively about themselves: instead of a vague "I'm a complicated person," you get the sharper "my natal chart shows tension between a need for stability and a pull toward change" — something you can actually work with consciously, rather than treat as a verdict.
